LOL... that last image is priceless :o)
for the love of sweets!~~that chocolate covered carrot cake looks really, really good!!You've taken a somewhat complicated composition, and quietly organized it into a calm and tidy dance on that last one... In less talented hands we would have ended up with a mish-mosh... ~what works well is how the bolder foreground desserts are polite enough to allow us to hone in on the quieter, yet hilarious, facial expressions of our two friends.I'm also rather drawn to the white fur & pads pressed against the glass--very effective! It's great to get to see some of your looser work on the two sketches above as well; ---loose, but clear in intent and staging...~~and so, evidently these two characters are a bit more complicated than it would seem. They've forced the creation of a new psychiatric category: the Obsessive Complexive. .
This is really fun! Made me laugh.
I'm with ya on the sweets one...and it sure is a SWEET illo! So cute! I love it!
Great! I especially love the last one too :)
Sweet stories told with a dramatic point of view. I want some of that chocolate cake, too.
Thank you, friends, for you very kind comments! This illo pretty much sums up my response when passing a bakery.
Wonderful...I am sooo hungry now.I love the simplicity of the first drawing. They are all very clever, but the first on make me especially happy. those pastries are treated with much love and the composition is well thought out..Rick is right, It take great skill and talent to pull that one off.
You always seem to do cover all of the bases: beautiful composition, beautifully rendered and full of lovely, likable images and characters. Definitely work that I always look forward to visiting.
oh noooo I am stilllll laughing.......that is exactly how I feel when I pass by a cake shop!!!
That so funny, exactly like me :-D
