The interplay with detail and simplicity keeps getting better and better; as well, the modeling of the form, particularly the rabbit's head and feet, is impressive; the arm positioning is on the mark as well!... as regards the positioning of the REST of the rabbit's body, well... ~~~~ohhh the poor mouse! thank god for all that fluff... uh, I hope...
but the rabbit's expression is priceless ~~and worth the tragedy. methinks.
I only had to go back one illustration to start getting the story. What a great idea to illustrate the same characters for IF. I love them! And I have thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the illustrations on your blog.
Wow Mardi, You really hit our of the park this week! The anatomy of the rabbit is very weel described. I love the little details which are sublty rendered and fit well into the bigger masses. The rabbits expression is priceless.
