Ah hahahaha! The day of reckoning has arrived. It was only a matter of time. So adorable... and yet, so menacing with all the leaves in Peet's fur and his imposing stance. Poor tiny mouse, your expression is hilarious, and you should not be surprised by this turn of events. Beautiful greens and beautiful shadows, too. Love it!
Once again, Buttercup steals the show! ~and she takes up so LITTLE of the real estate... I think you could take her little corner of the paper (with her hilarious cast shadow) and frame it as a piece of art in itself. Her expression is great, and her bulging eyeballs are priceless; Peet, for his part, has never looked so imposing (I'm a bit nervous myself, and I didn't do anything!) .
Oh my goodness...if this was a picture book (and it should be and I was reading it to a classroom, they'd be howling at this image of poor little tail-less Peet!
I keep seeing you post over at Visual Cogitations, and hoping some more Peet and Buttercup are coming soon! Oh dear, it just occurred to me that you've left Buttercup in a LOT of trouble, so perhaps this timeout is for her!
