  1. Oh, great idea!! I like how you placed such a large, dark drop under the mouse... very suspenseful. :) I used mice for mine too, heheh.

    1. Mice do not like to jump - they prefer all fours on solid ground. Buttercup is totally stressed about her predicament.

  6. Yes! It IS all about the moment when it comes to suspense. This is great...I sure hope she has a net (just in case)! Love it!+

  7. What adds to the suspense here is the fact that Buttercup is shown in 'full ball' mode, and there's no indication as to which direction she'll take; be it towards the welcoming trapeze bar, diving to an off screen element, or even to the net below...
    ~~~there IS a net below isn't there?
    Had you shown her reaching, the tension would have been completely different, and the sense of mystery diluted.
    nice simplicity as well
    1. Thank you, Richard. Yes, Buttercup is in full spin mode. I tried to show the moment where uncertainty and fear reign. There's a Zen saying … Leap, and the net will appear. I suppose we'll find out soon enough!
  8. Great suspense! Will she open up and catch the rope swing or will she fall to the net? Really fantastic idea and illustration.
  10. Breathtaking. The isolation in the darkness really adds to the quality of mystery and suspense. It is a very exciting frozen moment
