Buttercup's Big Fat Adventure
THE SHOW OPENS!
Today I hung my show with help from my wonderful friend, Eileen. There are 50 pieces on display, so it took us the better part of the day. Seeing all the art together, matted and framed, was very exciting. It looked so dressed up. This Saturday will be my first "Meet the Artist" event, which will coincide with a couple storytelling events for young children that are happening in the Children's Library. If you're in the area, stop by and have a look-see!
THE SHOW OPENS!
What a beautiful drawing. I love the simplified cleaned up line and the abstraction of the shapes. I would love to see you explore this style further
ReplyDeleteAdorable:)
ReplyDeleteVery satisfying to see all Peet and Buttercups framed and on display with all the extra non P&B work as well!
ReplyDeleteI particularly like the one case with the study (for the bakery scene). I think you should treat your followers to some of those hidden prelims and doodles in your sketchbook, I'm sure there's gold in them thar pages!
excellent big fat show!
.
Richard, thank you. Your being at my show meant a lot to me. Hmmm, perhaps I will post some prelims.
