Look at ALL those ellipses! this satisfies in more ways than one; leading the pack is the nice contrast between the in intricacy of the cups & characters and the effortlessly tonal background. I'm also fond of that tail wrapping around the handle of the 'hugs and kisses' cup... ~hey. Wait. Is that rabbit sneaking in some marshmallows and chocolate bits?!? I thought so. Nice work Mardi, each piece is more solid than the one before.
You're on to me, Rick! Those would be DARK chocolate bits. Ya know, they're not just for breakfast anymore. John, these morsels allude to the darker schemes. Or not ... we'll just have to see about that. Haha! Thank you for your nice comments.
This just might be my favorite so far this week. So beautiful...the colors and beautiful shadows are just amazingly lovely. And the poetry to go along...you just get better with each piece! I love these two characters.
nice work! You really got a handle on those cylindrical solids and cast shadow. This reminds of me of Carl Larson in terms of the palette and Potter in terms of the forms. lovely under worked attention to detail. i love the way that the reds unify and pronounce. Great job. I think that it is the best yet
Lovely!
