Peet and I lost track of each other yesterday.
I looked high and low, but couldn't find him anywhere.
Hmmm … I'd have to help Peet find me!
I slipped into my le jardin ensemble and waited.
(It wasn't long before he appeared.)
So adorable... i'm new to IF - only wish i had more hours in the day to visit every post. :-) Beautiful work. I love the little bunny and the little story! xoxo
Thank you, Pauline! And thank you for the follow, too! I hope you'll enjoy participating in Illustration Friday as much as I have. It's a wonderful, supportive community of artists.
Clever story telling again. That is some outfit buttercup is wearing. Very sexy. The tension in the empty space is very cool. There is a time element to this piece which makes the story come alive...I would love to see it animated.
The carrot crown is suggested perfectly and yet the paint treatment is so loose.
Yes, Buttercup is quite a sight. Animated? That's quite a compliment and a huge learning curve. Or maybe just the right agent! I'm happy to know you're sensing the motion. Thank you!
The funniest thing (among a whole variety of items here) is Peet's serious and intensively focused hopping that he's involved in. Absolutely NO distractions can find there way in edgewise while he's in the zone.
your fading in and out of the background separates and pulls the two characters together. That cast shadow of Peet's is a needed echo of his visual pop.
um... is he supposed to wear the cabbage when he gets there? oh god, I hope not...
Hahahahaha! Peet is like a fighter pilot – locked onto the target. With his high beta caroteen diet, he can spot food from the next county. Buttercup knows what he likes though.
Oh my gosh, just look at high flying Peet! Even though he's a ways off I am a tad worried about his speed - he may overshoot his mark!
And I hope Buttercup hasn't miscalculated and won't be chomped on! Also, those tall fancy hats are hard to wear and Buttercup is pulling it off like a champ. So cute! Love the vegetables!
Peet IS moving rather fast! This just may be a tossed salad waiting to happen. Haha! Buttercup's high-falootin' hat came right off the runway in Paris (or was it Vegas?) Thank you for your inspiring comment, Cindy.
Wonderful example of natural adaptation : the process by which an animal or plant becomes fitted to its environment. And to be useful, adaptations must occur simultaneously in different parts of the body....:)
Hai Mardi: Lovely! Great drawing! You made it Peet to easy:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Renate! Buttercup only had to think like a rabbit.
DeleteHaha very cute! Great composition too.
