Today my Peet turned me into an animal balloon.
We had the funnest fun ever.
Sometimes Peet was jumpy, and I soared even higher.
This must be how angels feel._____________

so dreamy...great job!
ReplyDeleteHello Mardi:) So sweet:) Lovely painting as well!
ReplyDeletereally beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful rainy sky gives it a lot of atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteoooohhh...so cute!! lovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful pastel hillside and sky! And of course your insanely adorable little critters, almost more adorable now that they are so teeny in this big landscape. Lovely and so sweet!
ReplyDeletewonderful, just want to jump into that magical world!
ReplyDeletesweet!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful illustration!
ReplyDeleteThank you, blog buds! I left my computer right after I posted, and just now returned to read all your lovely comments. You make IF so fun!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely precious! I love how the color of the Bun and the balloons draws your attention to where the action is! The balloons tied to the tail is the best part!!!! Thanks for the smile! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so delightful--so sweet. I love your soft style (I think I could never in a million years learn how to handle the media so subtly). Lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh, I admire your watercolour skills so much. This is just so charming.
ReplyDeleteLove it!So poetic:)
ReplyDeleteMardi,
ReplyDeletethis is a real winner! it is so magical and dreamy. Every element is perfect in it's expression. the suggestion of air and space is captivating.
I appreciate the closeup of Peet and Buttercup. Otherwise, I may have missed the tail detail.
sweet and warming to the heart. I'm liking the way you handled the watercolor land/ skyscape.
ReplyDeleteaah sooo sweet! I like you light wash style :)
ReplyDeletesweet, great soft colors :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! Wonderful colors and the washy background and colors really help tell the story.
ReplyDeleteThis is really a stunning piece in terms of its privacy. You've done an excellent job at making the viewer feel he is happening on a private world that he's not supposed to be privy to. I've only seen E.H. Shepard do this with any consistency.
ReplyDeleteThe emptiness is the strongest force here, ~~a quiet monument supporting Peet and Buttercup's internal dynamics as they play off on another. Head angles and dot eyes say more than any amount of overdetailing ever could.
a winner.
It is totally lovely this one!
ReplyDeleteThe composition is so stunning, can't stop looking at it.
