                   Peet?
                         Peet?
                               Where are you, Peet?
                               Peeeeeeeeet!

                                                             Well, isn't this a fine how-do-you-do.

  1. so, so, so cute! I love the continuation from last week and hope Peet & Buttercup are reunited next week (or does it depend on the word?)

    1. Thank you, Rita! Sometimes the IF word allows for a two-week continuing story, but so far I haven't been able to carry it for three weeks since the word prompts are so random. P&B can't stand being apart from each other for too long, that much is certain.

  2. Hahaha, I didn't want to say anything earlier, not being in a position to do anything about it, but I was worried about the aerodynamics of that sunflower! He looks so hilarious flying through the air - and I wouldn't say that unless I was confident in his ability to secure a safe landing. I hope it's not too prickly for poor Buttercup. Too cute!

Such wonderful storytelling you do. I need to work on some of that.

    1. Peet totally steals the show. He's fairly comfortable being flung, but this transatlantic flight may instill a phobia. Thank you, Cindy!

  4. Oh my GOSH!! This is terrible. Is everyone alright??

    Ha, good one.

-and you're the first artist I've seen who's made a story-line out of the IF words. That's thinkin'!

    1. I don't know! I haven't seen either one of 'em since launch time. (hardy har, har.)
Thank you for the nice compliment, Ted. I'm surprised no one else tries to link the word prompts into something sort of sensical. (More like nonsensical!)

  11. Yikes! Yes, that previous piece was an accident waiting to happen! Ha ha!! Hope Peet's OK, and that Buttercup's fur is not stained too terribly! Great story telling, as always!

  12. ditto to all of the previous comments. I love the use of perspective in story telling. I don't know who to worry about more...Peet or Buttercup

    1. oh, -they'll both be okay, however, I bet it'll take them DAYS to locate Peet's tail again. ~~hope he's not sailing over a cotton field...

  13. Yet another nice composition of contrasts. I like how Peet's simplicity plays against Buttercup's detail and complexity... (I hope this isn't an echo of their respective personalities).
~~Best part for me is how the flower AND Peet are both very convincing in their toss and hurl; I can feel the weight and twang directly. Nice work on the plants and berries --stops short of too much.
    Nicely tossed illustration Mardi.
