    Make way!
    Make way for the princess!
    Make way, I say!

Hey, bub. WHO ME? Yeah, you … GET-OUTTA-DA-WAY!
Show some respect for your princess, you lowly lagomorph.

  1. I've never thought of the word lagomorph as derogatory... Sure sounds like it now!
I think your muted palette and lower key values really enhance the portentous pretensions Buttercup has uncloseted. Expression nice and aloof, and the form is very well held together in terms of tone. And the emptiness Peet's placed in is a good parallel for his new found 'lowliness'.

Poor Peet... He'd best not say anything, and let this pass.

    ( ~Love the tail ribbon!)...

  2. Excellent! And I couldn't have put it better than Richard--so, "what he said." ;)

I really like the depth you've created in this piece (and the princess really acts like a princess...)

  5. Beautiful style, lovely colors. Such a haughty princess with her flowing cape and majestic accessories. But I fear she may regret not being kinder to her subjects one day!

  7. Nice one Mardi. You nailed the word.

Re: Tarzan #9; He's not scratching, silly, he's givin' the old Tarzan yell. Guess I didn't draw it that well. But if you like that he's scratching himself then I'm good with that, too. Thanks for stopping by.

  8. Poor Peet, Buttercup's ego is leaving him behind. Delightful.

  9. i love the complementary color harmony, emphasizing that royal purple.

The balance of the piece works really well with poor Peet anchoring the pretentious princes and creating a lovely psychological drama.
